Arctic Parliamentarians to host session at Arctic Circle Assembly

The Arctic Circle Assembly is the largest annual international gathering on the Arctic. This year Arctic Parliamentarians and Arctic Economic Council will co-host a session with the title “OPEN FOR BUSINESS - IS THE ARCTIC READY FOR FOREIGN INVESTORS?”

The Arctic Circle Assembly is the largest annual international gathering on the Arctic. This year Arctic Parliamentarians and Arctic Economic Council will co-host a session with the title “OPEN FOR BUSINESS – IS THE ARCTIC READY FOR FOREIGN INVESTORS?”

The session will include a formidable panel debate with speakers:

  • Jeppe Kofod, the Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs
  • Aaja Chemnitz Larsen, Chair of Arctic Parliamentarians and member of Danish Parliament
  • Michael Mann, EU Special Envoy for Arctic Matters
  • Heidar Gudjonsson, CEO, Vodafone; Vice-chairman for Arctic Economic Council
  • Mads Qvist Frederiksen, Director, Arctic Economic Council

At the end of the session Arctic Economic Council and Arctic Parliamentarians will sign a Memorandum of Understanding, committing to cooperate on promoting Sustainable Economic Development in the Arctic.
