The Arctic Circle Assembly is the largest annual international gathering on the Arctic. This year Arctic Parliamentarians and Arctic Economic Council will co-host a session with the title “OPEN FOR BUSINESS – IS THE ARCTIC READY FOR FOREIGN INVESTORS?”
The session will include a formidable panel debate with speakers:
- Jeppe Kofod, the Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs
- Aaja Chemnitz Larsen, Chair of Arctic Parliamentarians and member of Danish Parliament
- Michael Mann, EU Special Envoy for Arctic Matters
- Heidar Gudjonsson, CEO, Vodafone; Vice-chairman for Arctic Economic Council
- Mads Qvist Frederiksen, Director, Arctic Economic Council
At the end of the session Arctic Economic Council and Arctic Parliamentarians will sign a Memorandum of Understanding, committing to cooperate on promoting Sustainable Economic Development in the Arctic.
